Bio

Patrick Bradshaw is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology at the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. Dr. Bradshaw received bachelors and masters degree in economics from Florida State University, a masters degree in Statistics from the University of Florida and a doctorate in epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Dr. Bradshaw’s research is focused on chronic disease outcomes, including cancer survival and cardiometabolic disorders. He also has a keen interest in addressing quantitative methodological issues in these areas, including methods for multiple exposure (mixture) modeling, bias analysis and missing data.

Mahasin S. Mujahid is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the School of Public Health at the University of California, Berkeley. She is also the Chair of the Division of Epidemiology and the Lillian E. I. and Dudley J. Aldous Chair in Public Health. Her primary area of research is in social epidemiology, with a particular interest in the neighborhood health effects and the structural drivers of cardiovascular and maternal health inequities. She received her BS in Mathematics from Xavier University, New Orleans, LA, MS in Biostatistics, and PhD in Epidemiology at the University of Michigan.

Bio

Dr. Irene Yen, MPH, PhD, is Professor in the UC Merced School of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Arts’ (SSHA) Department of Public Health since January 2018. She is a social epidemiologist. Her research focuses on the social determinants of health with emphases on how neighborhood environment influences health behaviors and health status and the intersections of race/ethnicity and social class. She currently oversees the Housing, Opportunity, and Place team which is working on a few projects including housing justice research activities in Fresno and Merced and an education and health project. She is also the co-director for the training core of UC Merced’s Nicotine & Cannabis Policy Center.
