His primary research interests are in addressing the methodological challenges of using novel sources of data, including the EHR, for epidemiologic research. His applied research leverages real-world data across multiple chronic conditions, including oncology, cardiovascular disease, chronic pain, pulmonology, and chronic kidney disease. In parallel, he has a portfolio of research that aims to understand the impact of social and environmental determinants of health, including dynamic neighborhood changes, such as gentrification, on the health of adults and children.
