NIAAA/T32 Post-doc Fellowships in Alcohol and Drug Disparities

Description

The Alcohol Research Group, in partnership with the School of Public Health at the University of California Berkeley, is currently accepting applications for its NIAAA-funded T32 training program for research training in alcohol and drug studies, disparities, and other related problems. Fellowships provide mentorship, research and grant writing training, professional development and conference support. Training is oriented toward the pursuit of basic and applied socio-behavioral and epidemiological research. Although some of the research at ARG focuses on clinical issues, fellowships are not appropriate for persons interested primarily in clinical practice. Applicants with interest in health disparities will be given special consideration, although everyone with an interest in alcohol and drug research will be considered. For program details, see http://www.arg.org/training/.

For information about how to apply, see: https://arg.org/training/postdoctoral-fellowship/. Applications review will continue until all slots are filled. Positions have flexible start dates. Due to the requirements of the T-32, applicants must hold a doctoral degree at the time the fellowship begins and be US citizens or have Lawful Permanent Residency (green card) status at the time of appointment. There is the possibility of completing the fellowship in hybrid format – remote and in-person or fully remotely. ARG encourages applications from under-represented groups as defined by NIH here: Underrepresented Racial and Ethnic Groups | Diversity in Extramural Programs (nih.gov)
