Assistance for Hotel Guests with Special Needs/ADA

The Hyatt Regency Minneapolis meets or exceeds all requirements for the Americans with Disabilities Act.  Hotel facilities including, but not limited to, public entrance, registration desk, meeting space, restrooms, dining areas, common areas, swimming pool and sufficient guest rooms are reasonably accessible and usable by persons with special needs.

Individuals interested in using childcare services are responsible for coordinating and paying the agency directly. Arrangements shall not be made through SER but rather directly through the interested parties.  You should give the company a two-week notice before the service is needed.

 

Internet Access

Available in guest rooms and public areas are complimentary.

SER is providing complimentary Internet access in the meeting rooms.  The password will be available at the Registration Desk.  As a Wi-Fi hotspot, complimentary internet access is available throughout the lobby.

Transportation Options to and from the Hotel

The Hyatt-Regency Minneapolis is approximately 12 miles from the MSP International Airport.  Amtrak Station: 8 miles from the hotel

Public Transit Centers: Light Rail station: 8 blocks from the hotel and takes you towards downtown, Mall of America, the airport, and St. Paul.  Greyhound Bus Station: located 7 blocks from the hotel.

Alumni Reunions

Thursday evening has been set aside for receptions for faculty, alumni, and students from various universities.  Check the message board for announcements from your university.

Annual SER Member Business Meeting

The Annual Business Meeting is being held on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 pm in Nicolette D1.  Everyone is welcome.

Assistance for Participants

The staff of the Society for Epidemiologic Research is available to provide assistance or information at any time during the meeting.  Questions should be directed to staff members who can be found at the registration desk located in the Nicollet Promenade.

Badges

Please wear your SER identification badge to all meetings and functions.  This is the most convenient way to identify one another and aids in the ease for conference organizers to assist you.

SER Student and Faculty Recruitment Fair

Whether you have a job opening you are trying to fill or you are interested in a new position, the SER meeting is the place to make a match.  Job postings may be submitted to the online job board. In an attempt to give students and job applicants a structured opportunity to interact with doctoral programs and potential employers, SER has set aside an hour for Doctoral Programs and Potential Employers to meet with Prospective Students to learn more about the programs and Job Applicants to meet with those who are recruiting in a dedicated room. You may also use the message board on the registration level to post positions or resumes.

Information for Oral Presenters

Please be in the meeting room 15-20 minutes before your presentation.  Each meeting room will be equipped with a screen, an LCD projector and a microphone.  A room monitor will be available in the room if you require assistance.

Message Board

A message board will be located in the Nicollet Promenade.  You may use the message board to communicate with other meeting attendees.
