Sandra Melnick Seitz

smelnickDr. Sandra Melnick Seitz is an epidemiologist with expertise in HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted infections, cancer epidemiology, public health, laboratory diagnosis, research design and analysis, Federal mechanisms for funding and managing extramural research, and scientific review of investigator-initiated research. Since retiring from the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Melnick Seitz has been studying the role of the microbiome in human health and disease, and initiated the Annals special issue. Her specific interests are in research methodology and biostatistical approaches to incorporating microbiome data into large scale, population-based epidemiologic cohort studies.
