Claudia Kozinetz

ckozinetzClaudia Kozinetz is Professor and Chair, Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, College of Public Health at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN.  Dr. Kozinetz’s work is population-based with a focus on child health.  Her research portfolio includes many years of study of pediatric HIV-AIDS including clinical trials, registries and predictive factors of survival, both domestic and international; and, community-based control of influenza via childhood vaccinations.  From 1994 through 2014, Dr. Kozinetz Directed the Study Design and Analysis Core of the Baylor-UTHouston Center for AIDS Research.  Current work includes the evaluation of small area data systems to monitor population health in a timelier mode.  She teaches the introductory Epidemiology and Clinical Research courses for the graduate programs at the ETSU College of Public Health.
