Holly Elser received her PhD and Masters of Public Health in epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley. Her research to date has focused on the joint implications of gender and aspects of the work environment – including occupational class, workplace gender composition, and job insecurity – for worker mental health. She is currently completing her MD at Stanford Medical School and wishes she had more time for research.
