Claudia Kozinetz is Professor and Chair, Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, College of Public Health at East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, TN. Dr. Kozinetz’s work is population-based with a focus on child health. Her research portfolio includes many years of study of pediatric HIV-AIDS including clinical trials, registries and predictive factors of survival, both domestic and international; and, community-based control of influenza via childhood vaccinations. From 1994 through 2014, Dr. Kozinetz Directed the Study Design and Analysis Core of the Baylor-UTHouston Center for AIDS Research. Current work includes the evaluation of small area data systems to monitor population health in a timelier mode. She teaches the introductory Epidemiology and Clinical Research courses for the graduate programs at the ETSU College of Public Health.
