Marcia Furquim de Almeida is a Professor in the Department of Epidemiology of Public Health School at University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo State, Brazil. Her research focuses in perinatal epidemiology and health information systems. She is a member of the Epidemiology Commission of the Brazilian Association of Public Health (ABRASCO) and is Editor in Chief of the Brazilian Journal of Epidemiology since 2007.
