Jay S. Kaufman earned a PhD in epidemiology from the University of Michigan, followed by a post-doctoral position at Loyola Stritch School of Medicine. In 2009 he began his current position in the Department of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Occupational Health at McGill University, and holds visiting appointments at schools of public health in Chile, Michigan and North Carolina. He is former chair of the SER Education Committee, an editor at “Epidemiology” an associate editor at “American Journal of Epidemiology” and co-editor of the textbook “Methods in Social Epidemiology” (2nd Ed, 2017).
