Director, Utah Population Database Shared Resource
Huntsman Cancer Institute (HCI) at the University of Utah is seeking a Director of the Utah Population Database (UPDB) Shared Resource. The Utah Population Database (UPDB) is a nationally prominent database for population studies and gene discovery for cancer and other diseases located at HCI at the University of Utah. The UPDB Shared Resource Director will manage a unique and comprehensive population-based medical/epidemiological/genealogical database, interact with the research community, which uses the database, and oversee a large and growing team (~22 FTE) of computer, data management, and analytic professionals in support of the mission of HCI and the University. Qualified candidates are eligible for research/tenure-track faculty appointment in a related academic division/department, contingent upon completion of usual appointment processes and approvals. Position FTE range of 60-75% with the remainder of effort for a personal program of research, is open to negotiation, depending on candidate and faculty appointment options.
