Senior Infectious Disease Modeller and Health Economist

Applications are invited for a Senior Infectious Disease Modeller and Health Economist to join a team working with Associate Professor Koen Pouwels. This research programme focuses on modelling the health-economic impact of different interventions aimed at reducing antimicrobial resistance (AMR) in various countries, with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). You will join an expanding group of infectious disease modellers and health economist based at the University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences (NDPCHS).

The successful candidate will have a PhD in infectious disease epidemiology/health economics or a related quantitative area. The post-holder will have experience with building infectious disease transmission models or the application of ordinary/partial differential equations in a different area of research such as macroeconomics. You will also have a track record of producing high quality research, as evidenced by high-quality peer-reviewed publications.
