Health System Researcher (Assistant Professor)
Description
ABOUT THE POSITION
The JPS Center for Epidemiology & Healthcare Delivery Research (CEHDR) invites applications for an
institutionally-funded Health System Researcher position. CEHDR is a multidisciplinary research group
embedded within a safety-net health system. CEHDR investigators conduct research that provides actionable
insight for improving healthcare delivery, optimizing patient outcomes, and advancing health equity at JPS
Health Network and beyond. Our research is organized in three core programs: health services research,
implementation research, and outcomes research.
The Health System Researcher is an academic equivalent of Assistant Professor and will lead investigator-initiated
and collaborative projects that address critical healthcare challenges. The Health System Researcher
will have a dedicated research staff, access to an advanced health information technology infrastructure, and
unique opportunities to collaborate with healthcare providers, operational teams, health system leaders, and
academic partners. In addition, our investigators are provided personalized mentorship and abundant
resources for career and leadership development. We particularly encourage applications from researchers
with expertise or interest in health services research, pharmacoepidemiology, or behavioral science
given extensive opportunities for developing and testing healthcare interventions, and using real-world
data to assess drug utilization, effectiveness, and safety.
