The National Heart, Lung, And Blood Institute (NHLBI) has funded the REGARDS-MI-4 study, Award Number 1R01HL165452-01. The overall aims of this project are to:
1) Identify novel mechanisms leading to disparities in incident and recurrent coronary heart disease (CHD) and heart failure (HF), and outcomes following CHD or HF events including reserve and resilience;
2) Adjudicate heart-related outcomes (CHD, HF hospitalizations, causes of death), link Medicare data, and make these data available to the scientific community; and
3) Build capacity in CHD and HF health disparities research through the mentorship of early-stage investigators.

The REGARDS-MI study is recruiting predoctoral and postdoctoral research fellows to conduct population research on cardiovascular disease and resilience and reserve to cardiovascular events, with a focus on cardiovascular health equity and structural racism. Positions are available at:
• Weill Cornell Medicine, New York, NY
