Dr. Lajous is a medical doctor and epidemiologist with an interest in understanding modifiable risk factors for cancer. He is also involved projects related to cancer screening and survival given the growing availability of cancer screening, diagnostic, and treatment resources in Mexico. He received his medical degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and master’s and doctoral degrees in epidemiology from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He has 15-year experience in conducting cancer epidemiology research and implementing fieldwork in Mexico. Dr. Lajous established in 2006 and serves as the principal investigator of the Mexican Teachers’ Cohort, the largest observational study in Latin America. Read more
