John Pamplin II Columbia University
Dr. John R. Pamplin II is an Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. His research studies the consequences of structural racism and systemic inequity on mental health and substance use outcomes. Dr. Pamplin’s current work focuses on understanding the racialized impacts of enactment and enforcement of policies designed to curb the overdose epidemic, with a specific lens on the relationships between the criminal legal system and the mental health of populations of color.
