Tammie Johnson

Tammie M. Johnson, DrPH, is an Associate Professor in the Institute of Public Health at Florida A&M University. After working as a public health professional for over 15 years, Dr. Johnson entered academia as an Assistant Professor in 2010. She has worked on various projects related to chronic disease epidemiology and specializes in complex survey data analysis. Dr. Johnson discovered her love for epidemiology when she assisted with collecting and analyzing data from the first Florida Youth Tobacco Survey in 1998. Since that time, her interests have expanded to include many chronic disease outcomes and determinants. Dr. Johnson’s publication topics include diabetes, metabolic syndrome, physical activity, alcohol consumption, tobacco use, and other related topics.
