Qing Li, M.D., Dr.P.H. is an Associate Epidemiologist of the Center for Behavioral Epidemiology and Community Health (CBEACH), San Diego State University. She is an OBGYN-trained perinatal epidemiologist. Her research interests include the screening and prevention of perinatal brain injury and preterm delivery, integrated clinical and administrative data platform for surveillance, quality of care, and prevention, gender and alcohol use, mentoring, and transdisciplinary and translational team science. Dr. Li received her medical degree and Obstetrics and Gynecology training from the Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China and her doctoral degree in public health in Maternal and Child Health at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. Her training and work in Maternal and Child Health, Perinatal Epidemiology, and the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women’s Health (BIRCWH) program were funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, and National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and the Office of Research on Women’s Health.
