Elisa Jean-Baptiste

Elisa Jean-Baptiste is studying epidemiology at the School of Public Health of the University of Montreal in Canada. In addition to her studies, she is a Teacher Assistant in Epidemiology and Biostatistics.   Ms. Jean-Baptiste currently works in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.  Her research interests are First Nations maternal health, marginalized populations of the Canadian health system, and the use of misoprostol for cervical ripening and induction of labor at a population level. She is President of the School of Public Health Congress at the University of Montreal. She is working towards establishing the first Women’s Association of the School of Public Health to address disparities in women’s health.
