Lauren Hurwitz National Cancer Institute
Dr. Lauren Hurwitz is a postdoctoral fellow in the Cancer Prevention Fellowship Program at the National Cancer Institute. She received her PhD in Epidemiology from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and currently works in the Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology Branch of the Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics at the NCI. Her research seeks to understand the etiology of and identify modifiable risk factors for prostate and ovarian cancers. Specifically, she is studying occupational and environmental pesticide exposures as risk factors for aggressive prostate cancer, and aspirin use as a risk factor for ovarian cancer.
