MedPage is an internet health media outlet that curates medical and public health knowledge for dissemination to allied health professionals. In conjunction with the Society for Epidemiologic Research, MedPage seeks an established epidemiologist to create weekly postings of public health and clinical research. MedPage Today reaches 670,000 physicians and the weekly column, which will have the epidemiologist’s name on it, will be prompted with e-mail alerts sent to subscribers.
MedPage will work with the successful candidate to establish an internet presence and to build an audience. The successful candidate will identify approximately five research articles each week of particular importance to public health and preventive medicine, and links to these will be posted along with a one or two sentence summary of the research and its relevance. The summaries will be prepared by the candidate.
