Wikipedia is one of the most widely used reference sources in the world, with the English site alone attracting more than 130 billion page views each year. Wikipedia is also among the most frequently cited domains in ChatGPT responses and is becoming an integral part of training AI models. Collective efforts to improve medical content on Wikipedia have increased the breadth and reliability of articles. Yet many articles on fundamental epidemiologic concepts are sparse or contain false or misleading content.
