SPC Journal Club: Understanding Sibling Comparison Designs

Join us for the upcoming SER SPC Journal Club, featuring Dr. Linda Ejlskov, who will discuss sibling comparison designs and the important cautions to consider when using this study design. Drawing on her recent Epidemiology publication, “Sibling Comparison Designs to Assess Social Exposures and Empirical Tools to Guide Interpretation: An Illustrative Study of Childhood Income and Subsequent Mental Disorders,” Dr. Linda Ejlskov will highlight how sibling designs can help assess the effects of social exposures while also addressing key challenges in interpretation. This will be a great opportunity for an engaging discussion on the strengths, limitations, and practical use of this increasingly important approach.
