Extending Evidence Beyond the Study: Methods and Challenges in Transportability Research
The SER Student and Postdoc Committee will host a session on transportability research as part of its Digit Series. Drs. Sarah Robertson and Eleanor Hayes-Larson will discuss emerging methods for extending evidence beyond the original study sample, including the conceptual foundations of transportability, key methodological considerations, and common challenges encountered in applied settings. The session will also highlight analytic strategies for transporting findings from both clinical trials and observational studies to target populations, offering practical insights for researchers interested in improving the external validity of research work. |
