Dr. Stephanie Engel is an Associate Professor of Epidemiology, Gillings School of Global Public Health. She has been the principal investigator of multiple NIH-funded research grants focused on perinatal, developmental outcomes, with an emphasis on environmental and genetic risk factors. She is co-director of a NIEHS-funded T32 training grant, Associate Editor of International Journal of Hygiene and Environmental Health, and on the editorial board of the journals Epidemiology and Environmental Research. Dr. Engel received her Doctorate in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
