Elisa Priest

epriestElisa Priest, MPH DrPH serves as Director of Clinical Effectiveness Informatics at Baylor Scott & White Health in the Office of the Chief Quality Officer. Dr. Priest has over 12 years of experience in clinical and outcomes research, with a background that includes clinical trials, behavioral intervention studies, and observational studies in the fields of immunology, traumatic brain injury, infectious diseases, oncology, rheumatology, and cardiology. Her dissertation work focused on Data Management in Epidemiology.  In addition to her research experience, she holds faculty appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Texas A&M Health Sciences Center and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Epidemiology at University of North Texas School of Public Health.

Dr. Priest’s current research interests include informatics, epidemiology, and shared decision making. Her operational work focuses on design and development of study protocols; development of standardized processes for data management focusing on quality assurance, quality control, and risk assessment throughout the project lifecycle. She recently received a grant from a private foundation to implement a shared decision making protocol for patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder.
