Charles (Charlie) Poole has been with the Department of Epidemiology, Gillings School of Global Public Health, University of North Carolina for the past 17 years. With roots in environmental epidemiology, he has developed interests in all areas of epidemiologic research, with an emphasis on methods. An SER member since 1978, Charlie served one term on the Executive Committee. He has given workshops on systematic review and directed acyclic graphs at the past few Annual Meetings.
