Andreas Stang

Andreas Stang, born in 1965, studied Medicine and finished his MD degree in 1992 at Free University of Berlin. He worked as a clinician from 1992 through 1994. Thereafter, he studied Public Health (MPH) at Boston University from 1995 through 1996. He was working as an epidemiologist at University of Essen from 1996 through 2004. From 2004-2014, he was full professor of clinical epidemiology at University of Halle and the head of the institute of clinical epidemiology. Since 2014, he is director of the Center of Clinical Epidemiology at University of Duisburg-Essen. He is one of the editors of the European Journal of Epidemiology. His major research topics are cancer epidemiology, cardiovascular epidemiology, and epidemiologic methods.
