Bryan D. James is associate professor at the Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center, and Department of Internal Medicine, Section of Epidemiology Research, at Rush University Medical Center. He received his PhD in epidemiology of aging from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Read more
His research focuses on identifying social, lifestyle, and life event risk factors for Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related dementias, as well as describing the societal impact of dementia. He has published on the contribution of AD to mortality and has written the prevalence and mortality sections of the Alzheimer’s Association Annual Facts & Figures Report since 2010. He is the host of Epidemiology Counts, an official SER podcast, is co-chair of the SER Scientific Dissemination Committee, and is social media editor for the American Journal of Epidemiology.
