Sonia M. Grandi, PhD is a perinatal and pediatric epidemiologist who studies the short- and long-term influence of preconception and perinatal exposures on the health of mothers and children. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) at the U.S. National Institutes of Health where she is examining the consequences of preconception and perinatal exposures on the reproductive health of mothers and fathers. She completed her PhD in Epidemiology from McGill University, and was supported by doctoral bursaries from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS). Dr. Grandi will be joining the Hospital for Sick Children and University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor and Research Scientist in summer of 2021.
