Alexandra Purdue-Smithe

Alexandra Purdue-Smithe National Institute of Child Health and Human Development

Dr. Alexandra Purdue-Smithe is a postdoctoral fellow in the Epidemiology Branch of the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). Prior to joining NICHD, she earned her BS in Nutrition and PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Purdue-Smithe’s expertise is in reproductive and nutritional epidemiology and her research seeks to identify modifiable factors to improve women’s health across the lifecourse. Specific research foci include accelerated reproductive aging and early menopause, fertility, fecundity, and pregnancy complications.
