Kylie Ainslie

Kylie Ainslie obtained a PhD in biostatistics from Emory University in 2018. She is currently a research associate at Imperial College London in the MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis in the Department of Infectious Disease Epidemiology.

She conducts research into the epidemiology of influenza using stochastic modelling. Her work has focused on characterizing the bias of influenza vaccine effectiveness estimates from different types of observational studies. Her current research is focused on using mathematical models to assess vaccination strategies in children and repeated influenza vaccination. She is also involved in a multi-institution sponsored study in Southern China to characterize individuals’ immune response to influenza over their lifetimes using serological data. In addition to her research, she is involved in developing computational tools in R.
