Fasil Tekola-Ayele

Fasil Tekola-Ayele, Ph.D., is an Earl Stadtman Investigator in the Epidemiology Branch of the Division of Intramural Population Health Research at NICHD where he leads a research program on genetic-epidemiology of early growth and cardiometabolic outcomes. He received his Ph.D. in genetic-epidemiology from the Brighton and Sussex Medical School, Universities of Brighton and Sussex, U.K., and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the National Human Genome Research Institute, NIH. Dr Tekola-Ayele’s research over the past 15 years spans topics at the intersections of genomics, epidemiology, and global public health in neglected tropical diseases, cardiometabolic outcomes, and early growth and development in diverse populations.
