Gavin Pereira

Dr Gavin Pereira is a perinatal epidemiologist, environmental health researcher and biostatistician in the School of Public Health at the Telethon Kids Institute and Curtin University in Australia. He has previously held the Sidney Sax Fellowship from the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council and positions at the Center for Built Environment and Health at the University of Western Australia and the Center for Perinatal, Pediatric and Environmental Epidemiology at Yale University. Dr Pereira leads an international program of research on the effects of interpregnancy intervals with multiple high-income countries to revise the current WHO guidelines, and has published on the topic in leading journals including BMJ (2014) and the Lancet (2018).
