Andrew Olshan

Dr. Olshan has been at UNC for over 25 years and teaches in both the cancer epidemiology and reproductive, perinatal and pediatric programs. He was the Department of Epidemiology chair from 2006 to 2018. He is Associate Director of Population Sciences, UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Olshan’s major interests include the epidemiology of cancer and reproductive, perinatal and pediatric outcomes. He has been the principal investigator for multiple NIH-, EPA-, and CDC-funded studies. He is Editor-in-Chief of Current Epidemiology Reports and is an editor for the journal, Epidemiology. He is a past-president of the Society for Epidemiologic Research.
