Paulo Lotufo is a physician, Professor of Medicine at University of Sao Paulo, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He earned a Master and Doctoral Degree at University of Sao Paulo. He did postdoctoral fellowship at the Division of Preventive Medicine of the Brigham and Women´s Hospital / Harvard Medical School. He is the Principal Investigator (SP site) of the Brazilian Longitudinal Study of Adult Health (ELSA-Brasil) and the coordinator of the Center for Clinical and Epidemiologic Research at University of Sao Paulo. His research interest is cardiovascular epidemiology and he is a SER member.
